Lucia Degiovanni si è formata presso la Scuola Normale Superiore e l’Università di Pisa ed è ora professore associato di Lingua e letteratura latina presso l’Università degli studi di Bergamo. I suoi principali filoni di ricerca riguardano la tragedia romana d’età repubblicana (in part. Ennio e Pacuvio), le tragedie di Seneca (in part. Agamemnon, Hercules furens, Medea), l’Hercules Oetaeus pseudo-senecano (del quale ha pubblicato il vol. I dell’edizione critica con commento filologico), Catullo e lo studio delle fonti per la storia dell’educazione nell’antichità.

Lucia Degiovanni studied at the Scuola Normale Superiore and at the University of Pisa and is now associate professor of Latin Language and Literature at the University of Bergamo. Her main lines of research concern the Roman tragedy of the Republican age (esp. Ennius and Pacuvius), Seneca’s tragedies (esp. Agamemnon, Hercules Furens, Medea), Ps.-Seneca’s Hercules Oetaeus (of which she published the first volume of the critical edition with philological commentary), Catullus, and the study of the sources for the history of education in antiquity.
